The Woodward GSOV25 HT Fuel Shutoff Valve is designed to provide the fastest shutoff possible for gaseous fuel in industrial gas turbine engines. Gas flow is completely stopped when the valve closes, and there is no leakage from inlet to outlet. The “HT” version can withstand higher fuel temperatures and higher back pressure than the standard version. It is suitable for gas temperatures from -20 to +177 °C. The valve meets the shutoff capability of ANSI Class IV in the reverse direction with a pressure differential of 3450 kPa.
The normally-closed valve can be used for both emergency and normal shutoff. Special seal design prevents leakage and prolongs service life. Stainless steel construction ensures high reliability regardless of corrosive conditions.
The product is suitable for use on industrial turbines from 10 to 50 W with a single or branched fuel inlet manifold.
Description
The GSOV25 HT Fuel Shutoff Valve provides a means of shutting down a gas turbine by quickly shutting off the supply of gaseous fuel. The applied pressure is used to move a spring-loaded piston in the valve. When the valve is energized, the gas pressure holds the spring-loaded piston open, allowing fuel to flow to the turbine. When the electrical signal to the solenoid is lost, the secondary spring-loaded piston reverses to relieve the primary control pressure. The main spring then forces the primary piston against the seal, stopping the flow.
